"The Lonely Room Tapes" by Mark Shields & the Rock Apes (Rock Band from Nichols, Iowa (IA))

The Lonely Room Tapes is reminiscent of a summertime show at an outdoor venue or a local festival. Mark Shields and crew are having fun showcasing while the crowd is enjoying sunshine and the company of family and friends. The production is very clean, and the band is tight, with exceptionally notable drum work. "Roller Coast" is a track with alternative roots and a hint of blues that keeps the spirits high and the energy flowing. Shields proves he is especially good at writing for acoustic guitar on his songs "Nude" and "Once Again." If you enjoy modern/alternative rock bands such as Nirvana, you will enjoy this CD.
